Update from the webmaster, and news on a new re-design

It has been an extremely busy year for me, so let me start by apologizing for not being able spend as much time on the site as I would have liked. I'm proud to say we had 2013 stats up in record time, and thanks to your help, we caught a lot of little corrections very quickly. It's exciting to see so many 2013 leagues underway already!

As always, there is a lot on the wish list, and I do hope to get to more features soon. For those interested in other sports, I got started on a football engine, but it's been hard to find time to make significant progress. I still hope more sports will eventually be part of the site. While we haven't really grown a ton this year, we have strong, steady traffic which inspires me to keep making the site better.

One thing I have been working on is a new, modern design for the site. While I still like the current design, it's not very mobile friendly, and even though we have a mobile version and a mobile app, they don't allow all the features you get on the full site. Almost half of our traffic comes from a mobile device!

The goal of the new design is to make it work for any screen size - from a desktop to a tablet to a phone. No more pinch and zoom, no more struggling to use commish tools on your phone. As you can imagine, this will be a challenge and a lot of work, but the end result will be a design that will allow the site to grow much easier.

I don't currently have an estimated date, but my guess is sometime toward end of the year/start of next year. Once this redesign is done, I can more readily focus on additional features on the wish list.

In the meantime, continue to send your feedback. I read and log everything, even if I don't get a chance to respond directly to everyone. Feel free to re-submit suggestions any time just to verify they are still on the wish list.

This website has really become an awesome baseball community, thanks again for your continued support!
