1978 Preview

1978--Elvin Hayes and Wes Unseld led the washington Bullets to the NBA crown, while Bill Walton would capture MVP honors in what would be his last good season for 5-6 years. Sweet D, Walter Davis is rookie of the year.
The Bee Gees and Saturday Night Fever dominated the Grammys, while Van Halen, Cars, and Journey all had classic album releases. Grease and Animal House sat atop the best movie list, and Muhammad Ali wins his rematch with Leon Spinks to recapture the heavyweight boxing title.

Meanwhile, disturbed goes for a repeat here, and 2 time MVP Abdul-Jabbar battles an injury in real life, but will ignore such trivial things as he goes for number 3.

Jabbar, Cowens lead dominate Floridians win

Congrats to disturbed as his Floridians capture the 1977 playoff and regular season titles! Abdul-Jabbar picks up more hardware as he heads home with the Finals MVP trophy. It marks the 2nd straight finals mvp for Kareem. Dave Cowens combined with Jabbar to control the inside, leading to the finals victory. Disturbed set a new standard, becoming the first in our league to win regular season and playoff awards, a very tough task in any PC league. Disco's center Bill Walton was left lamenting of his days in the Conference of champions after the series

We will let the Champs relish in their glory, and get things setup to start drafting 1978 on Sunday Morning at 7 AM PST.

Congrats to disturbed and the Floridians on the regulare season Title. Abdul-Jabbar with another dominant season, it is easy to forget how good he really was. We now head into playoffs, where the top 7 decide who is the World Champion of 1977.
