R Potential?

I just noticed some players with R potential in the basketball sim. i dont see it in the potential explanation page. what does it represent?

Re: R Potential?

going to take a guess... either "Rockstar" because Guy was thinking of me when making the potential rating or the more common assumption... "Random"?

That's a glitch and I will have to figure out how that's getting inserted. The R is supposed to get translated into a random potential.

I think I have fixed where this was happening. If a league has R players, the commish should manually edit them or let me know and I can do a mass update in the database.

Re: Re: R Potential?

I was in a league where they had progressions but it quickly fizzled out and coukldnt tell you how progressions work. I like the quickness of the bball leagues , you dont have to think much

Not in the same exact topic, but I am in a league with progressions and they move very little no matter the potential. One thing I noticed is minutes never move. I would think this would increase some each year as the player gets better and would drop if their stats drop. Is this something that can be changed. I am in a NCAA league and getting a guy for only 4 years makes it fun, but with no increase of minutes really hurts some decent players.

MP progression just got added to basketball today. It's an optional checkbox, since some leagues will prefer to have players of differing stamina. But by default it is on.

Also, players with low games played (and thus a high injury rate) will also gain games as they progress.

" Also, players with low games played (and thus a high injury rate) will also gain games as they progress."

Any intention of adding this feature in Baseball? It could be optional in Private or Custom Leagues and there could be 2 types of Auto Leagues, would definitely add some more realism - so tired of seeing guys with 235 AB in 78 GP and a .220 BA that hit 15 HRs - make their living in Slump Buster and diminish the REAL stars who do it day after day, Versus Lefty or Righty

That way they could accumulate at the same pace- BUT could miss extended periods of time, as they should. Most of them were platoon hitters at any rate RvL or LvR

Definitely not creating a new Auto League variety for it - not that it's a bad idea, just that it's way more hassle than it's worth and will confuse the F out of everyone.

Wouldn't be terribly hard to offer it as an option for baseball. Curious if this is a big desire though - most leagues, I think, handle this by doubling stats (or there is now a 162-game average option) for low-stat players.
